Before confirming a reservation, please review these refund terms thoroughly. By securing a charter with OpenResourceCenter, you are consenting to this refund policy.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Complete refund excluding handling charges
Processing Time: 5-7 business days
Processing Fee: €50 for credit card payments
Conditions: Must be formally requested through email or telephone
24-72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Half of the overall charter price
Processing Time: 7-10 business days
Processing Fee: €25 subtracted from the repayment
Conditions: A legitimate reason is necessary; administrative charges incurred
Less than 24 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Refunds are not available
Exception: Unexpected events may be taken into account
Alternative: A charter voucher might be granted at the discretion of the management
Conditions: Written proof is required for emergency cases
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Weather Guarantee
Ensuring your safety stands as our paramount concern. Should the weather be evaluated as perilous for our charter expeditions by our professional captain, we extend the following adaptive choices:
- Full Refund: A complete return of payment is given when rescheduling is not a viable option
- Reschedule: Rearrange your trip for an upcoming open slot without incurring additional costs
- Charter Credit: Opt for credit that remains valid for a year following the original trip date
Weather Assessment Process
Our procedure for evaluating the weather encompasses:
- Analyzing the speed and course of the wind
- Examining wave dimensions and the state of the sea
- Anticipating visibility and tracking rainfall predictions
- Heeding Coast Guard notifications and alerts
- Conducting an assessment of safety by the captain
Decision Timeline: Determinations on weather-related cancellations are concluded no later than four hours before the planned departure time.
Medical Emergency Refunds
Emergency Circumstances
When confronted with unforeseen medical crises, we show understanding. Events that may be considered for special dispensations include:
- Unanticipated illness or injury that results in hospital admittance
- Passing of a direct family member
- Mobilization for military service or urgent reassignment
- Subpoena or summons for jury duty
- Cataclysmic occurrences impacting one's ability to travel
Documentation Requirements
To facilitate the handling of emergency reimbursement claims, we request that you furnish:
- A healthcare certification or hospital records
- A death certificate, when relevant
- Official military mandates
- Legal notices such as court orders or notifications for jury service
- Official travel advisories or statements of emergency
Processing: Requests for refunds under emergency conditions are addressed within a timeframe of three to five working days following the submission of the necessary proof.
Operational Cancellations
Mechanical Issues
Should the vessel assigned to you encounter irreparable mechanical issues:
- Alternative Vessel: Efforts will be made to arrange a similar substitute
- Full Refund: Granted when no appropriate replacement is found
- Partial Refund: Provided if the substitute vessel comes at a different price point
- Compensation: Additional recompense may be extended for the trouble caused
Crew Unavailability
In the uncommon event that the certified crew is not available:
- A replacement crew will be sourced if feasible
- Full refund is provided if the charter is unable to go ahead
- Opportunity to reschedule at no extra cost
Refund Processing
Payment Method
Refunds will be issued back to the original method of payment utilized for reservation:
- Credit Cards: 5-7 working days
- Bank Transfers: 7-10 working days
- Cash/Cheque: 3-5 working days
Processing Fees
Credit Card Processing
€50 fee for cancelations made over 72 hours in advance
Bank Transfer Processing
€25 fee is applied to all bank transfer refunds
International Processing
Additional charges may be incurred for international refunds
Charter Credits
When Credits Are Offered
Credits for future charters might be provided as an alternative to reimbursements under certain conditions:
- Late cancellations (fewer than 24 hours notice)
- Cancellations due to adverse weather conditions
- Requests for voluntary rescheduling
- Disruptions in operations
Credit Terms
- Validity: Useful for 12 months following the date of issue
- Transferability: Not transferable to other individuals
- Value: Equal to the entire value of the charter without deduction of processing charges
- Usage: Applicable towards any future charter availability
- Expiration: No renewals past the 12-month period
Partial Service Refunds
Service Interruptions
In the event of a disruption or shortening of your charter due to our responsibility:
- Partial refund reflecting the unused portion
- Credit towards a future charter of the same value
- Additional complementary services or upgrades
Guest-Related Interruptions
Should the charter end prematurely due to actions or safety infractions by guests:
- No reimbursement for the time not used
- Payment in full is still required
- Extra fees may be incurred
Dispute Resolution
To contest a refund decision, you are entitled to:
- Ask for a review by our executive team
- Present extra documentation or proof
- Engage with consumer advocacy groups
- Utilize legal avenues per the law

Your refund submission should include:
- Verification of your booking
- The scheduled date and time of your charter
- Explanation for cancellation
- Any relevant supporting documents
- Your preferred method for the refund
Step 3: Assessment and Completion
Our team will confirm receipt of your request within 24 hours. We will then evaluate it in accordance with our policy, issue a determination within 48 hours, and execute any authorized refunds according to the timelines provided.
Important Notes
- All requests for refunds must be in writing
- Refunds are issued in € irrespective of the initial payment currency
- We highly recommend securing travel insurance
- This policy may be amended with a 30-day notification
- Any refunds are subject to relevant taxes and legislative requirements
